Dewormer for Very small dogs?
Jun 16th, 2010, 7:24pm

I am looking for a dewormer for very small puppies... its really very hard to deworm very little pups such as minipins... it like 100g more or less... what do you use for these pups?  usually a liquid dewormer's dosage is 1ml per 1kg... its very hard to use a 1ml syringe like the one for insulin because the dewormer is thicker than the needle... help??? what brand and where to buy? im near balintawak munoz area... thanks

Try using a 3cc or 3ml syringe...its about 7-10 pesos lang.
The one for insulin is ok, just take out the needle.

For puppies, i usually use NEMATOCIDE (pyrantel embonate). 1ml/kg din.
If you puppy is less than 500 grams, just give .5ml.
I dont really follow the "given" dosage when it comes to less than 1kg puppies. I feel safer if i give a little excess, they'll eventually poop it out anyway.

I dont know if meron pa ba ngayun liquid na Canex. Before they had a suspension. That worked well.

Cost for the NEMATOCIDE...i got the 60ml bottle for about 300-350 pesos.
