ALL ABOUT OUR YORKIES

hello everyone.  welcome to our very own yorkie board.  with the growing interest in this breed, dto has given us this opportunity to have our very own place to share our knowledge and experiences on this very challenging breed.  let's keep this board as friendly and educational as possible.     Smiley
 
just give me some time to work out some kinks so we can sort out and transfer our previous posts.

hi..im just wondering why yorkie is so much expensive?
and why is that there's only few of yorkie here in the phil?
im planning to have one kasi,please enlighten me,thnx..

hello udoy's garage.  there are just a handful of serious yorkie breeders at the moment.  but slowly the breed is picking up.  i will get more accurate statistics from pcci tomorrow and will post them asap.
 
being a tiny breed, i believe that it is most likely more difficult to breed then a large breed dog or a terrier.  most toy breeds in fact are difficult to manage specially for newbies.  a lot of effort and expense goes into breeding these little tykes.  (ceres, cheers, HELP!!!)

man...the term "teacup" is just a marketing strategy so breeders can sell their uber small, under standard puppies...
 
to refer to a dog as "teacup" whatever is WRONG..and they shouldnt be patrionized...these dogs also are more prone to diseases, because usually they are UNDERdeveloped
